About Us

Alabaman by birth, Texan by marriage, and Tennesseean by choice, Bevelle Puffer, founder of My Family Dinners, moved to Chattanooga with her family in August, 2004. Bevelle and husband, John, were on the crazy career track in Houston, Texas that involved busy work schedules and 3 very involved girls who participated in soccer, dance, gymnastics, choir, scouting – you name it!

In 2003, Bevelle began preparing dinners with “A Freezable Feast”, a Houston meal assembly service. Life at the Puffer house changed immediately as the family began looking forward to delicious dinners and precious time at the dinner table together.

Determined to move closer to family, and to introduce more busy moms to the meal assembly concept, Bevelle and John moved to Chattanooga in 2004 and began My Family Dinners.

My Family Dinners started in a private home on Signal Mountain in November, 2004. Since that day, over 1000 customers have found us and changed their lives by preparing My Family Dinners. We are an independent Chattanooga business, serving customers from as far away as Cookeville and Rome, Georgia. Winning the distance contest are customers from St. Louis and Tupelo!

Chef Darrell Morgan joined My Family Dinners in 2006, and has been instrumental in developing new recipes that help us keep a varied menu of “gourmet” and “family-friendly” entrees. Chef Darrell has an extensive and diverse background in the culinary arts field. After graduating from Rel Maples Institute in Sevierville, TN, he worked at Tony’s, Back Inn Café, and Mayor’s Mansion Inn. He also is a personal chef, food writer and culinary arts instructor at Rel Maples Institute in his spare time.

At My Family Dinners, our goal is to bring families together to enjoy the simple things in life – a good meal, conversation, and memorable time with loved ones. Happy Eating!
